Hidden Ellora of Mountain 🏔️

What is this this weird heading??? Are you also confused because of this as Ellora are in Maharashtra..no wonder you are !! Right ?? But do you know there is one architectural masterpiece hidden deep inside mountains away from hush hush of world its none other than famous rock cut temples Masroor Temples, sometimes also called the Ellora of Himachal or the Himalayan Pyramids (A rarest type of gem you will find in whole of North India). What so unique about this temple is that it is carved from single monolithic rock giving rise to pair of 15 rock-cut monuments with a Shikara in Nagara architecture style 😳😳😳😳😳😳. Due to this only this architectural complex is remarkably same as Ajanta-Ellora temples.
Our country is land of myths and legends so this heritage site has their own chunk of legends that believe this temple was built by the Pandavas of Mahabharata during their exile (vanavaas). Unfortunately, local recognized them therefore they had to abandon the place immediately even before finishing it (they were celebraties of their time!!!). The rectangular pond in front of the temple complex was linked to Draupadi, and  built exclusively for her cleansing and bathing.

This temple is best example of architectural nobiliity, from ruined temples to incomplete staircase (beleived to be made by Pandavas to reach heaven 😱). The main temple has the idols of Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshman ,but main shrine had figures dedicated to Lord Shiva that is thought to be the temple complex was originally dedicated to ‘Mahadeva.’
When I reached here i was blown up by seeing the architecture.. I had seen such type of artistic craftsmanship only in New Delhi, but here it was quite different more like Gupta classicism and Angor Wat in Cambodia.
Still watching something like this in North India was dream come true...what is best about this place is that it's still unexplored and away from all those money monger bloggers...this place still hold the audacity and beauty along with snow capped  dhauladhars in background nestled within rural jungle❤️❤️
Every nook and corner has their own story.. this temple has strongly endured nature challenges from time to time quests by foreign rulers like Mahmud known as-"Conquerer of different temples" just because of what it is made off..Indeed beautiful experience...Most beautiful hues are seen when sunset begins and pond shines with various sunset presets giving it look of made of gold...I must suggest you should visit this one and only monolithic masterpiece snuggled in mountains  once in your life...worth of experience 🙂🙂🙂
